Fun, fast sport

Dek hockey is an outdoor, inexpensive, and easy-to learn variation of ice hockey. Players run on sneakers instead of skates. It is played on blacktop, using a ball instead of a puck.

Our program is open to boys and girls, ages 4 to 18, divided into 5 age groups. Newcomers to the sport (or any sport) are welcome. Open to kids from any school or town.

Safe, Competitive Teams

Players are placed on competitively-balanced teams, as it is an entirely intramural program held locally.  Players brand new to the league will be contacted about a low-key evaluation session prior to the season, and shortly after that, all players are notified of their team and schedule.

Local Practices and Games

Teams receive one practice a week. Games are placed on Saturdays and Sundays. Older levels have games in the morning, going down to the youngest level in the afternoon. Games take an hour. All teams make the double-elimination playoffs which follows the regular season. All players are guaranteed fair and equitable playing time.

Equipment Available

Every player receives a team shirt to keep. Some equipment rentals are available, if you check that option on your registration. The 4 required pieces of gear are a helmet, elbow pads, leg pads, and gloves. Players have to provide their own sticks. If purchasing at local sporting good sports, please choose the cheaper street hockey models rather than ice hockey
